Fire Station 64 is located at 3633 Indian Ripple Road in Beavercreek. Station 64 protects District 64, which incorporates the Southern areas of Beavercreek. Equipment and crews from this station generally respond to emergency calls incorporating the southern areas of Beavercreek, the Greene, I-675 at Indian Ripple Road, and the residential areas surrounding it. Station 64 is staffed 24-hours per day, year round.
Station 64's station number reflects a County-wide public safety identification system. Beavercreek Township utilizes the "60's" for its units and station for being part of Greene County.
Currently, Station 64 houses a medic unit, an engine, Auxiliary van and reserve apparatus.
Crews at the Fire Station work a traditional 24-on, 48-off shift. They work one 24-hour shift, followed by two 24-hour days off. The basic work day runs from 7 a.m. when they report to duty through 6 p.m. During this time they perform station and equipment cleaning and maintenance, train, workout and eat lunch and dinner. After dinner, the crews have the remainder of the shift as personal time. Regardless of time of day, they are required to be in-service to respond to emergencies.
